Position Description:
3 full-time teachers of English as a Second Language (TESL)，qualified in teaching courses like Oral English, Cultures in English–speaking Countries, etc. at School of Foreign Studies.

Commencement Date: September 1st of  2013
Termination Date: June 30th  of  2014

 

Duties:

1.  Prepare lessons well prior to teaching;

2.  Conduct English lessons. Generally 16 face-to-face teaching periods (45 minutes for each period) every week.

3.  Assess students’ work.

4.  Take an active part in students’ extra-curriculum activities, such as English speaking contest, 2 periods of English corner activities outside the classroom to be delivered to the students, etc. 

 

 

Requirements:

1. Have a bachelor or master degree in TESL/TESOL;
2. Native speakers of English. 

 

 

Salary:

Monthly salary shall be negotiable (RMB 4,500-6,000 Yuan) of which 70% can be converted into foreign currency on a monthly basis.

Accommodation & bonuses

1. A flat with one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom , beds, cabinet, table, chair, cable TV, internet facility, computer, air-conditioner, refrigerator, telephone, bathroom, and a washing machine and kitchen. And the electricity, water and gas will be paid by our university.

2. Our university will pay for the return air-ticket with your satisfactory completion of 10 months full-time service. The return air tickets should be under RMB 8000yuan which shall be paid a little before the end of second semester.

3. Our university will pay you 2200yuan travel bonus when the contract is finished.

4. Our university will process and pay for the work visa for you, and cover all the costs incurring in applying for or changing the required and necessary visa and residence permit.

Sick leave and other leave:
    If you have been sick and obtained the permission from the hospital that you could ask for sick leave, you can receive RMB 30 Yuan for the sick leave allowance each day and no other salary during the period of your sick leave. If you have been sick for a continuous 30 days, the employer shall terminate the contract according to the regulation of the contract issued by China State Bureau of Foreign Experts.
    If you have to ask for personal leave during work time, you shall obtain the permission from the university, otherwise the university has the right to terminate the contract.

Computer and Telephone:
You will be provided with the facility of computer and telephone, but the Internet-fee and the phone call should be paid for by yourself.
